About Us

Who We Are

The Glebe Report is an independent, not-for-profit community newspaper serving the Glebe, Glebe Annex and Dow’s Lake areas of Ottawa. Since 1973, we’ve been your neighbourhood voice, delivering news and features about, by and for our vibrant and diverse community.

The paper is published monthly (except in July) by the Glebe Report Association, which is composed of a volunteer Board of Directors and production team. We’re further supported by a network of more than 140 dedicated volunteers who deliver 7,500 copies of the paper free of charge to homes and businesses across the community. We receive no government grants or direct subsidies — advertising from merchants in the Glebe and elsewhere pays all our costs, and we’re extremely grateful for their support.

The Glebe Report acknowledges that its offices and the Glebe neighbourhood it serves are on unceded Anishinaabe Algonquin territory. The peoples of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation lived on this territory for at least 8,000 years before Europeans arrived in North America. Their culture and presence have nurtured and continue to nurture this land.

Our office is located in the Glebe Community Centre, 175 Third Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, K1S 2K2. To get in touch, call or email us at 613-236-4955 or editor@glebereport.ca.

Glebe Report Association

The Glebe Report is published by the Glebe Report Association (GRA), an independent, non-profit organization incorporated under the Canada Corporations Act.

Membership in the GRA is open to all community members 18 years of age or older who live or work in the Glebe, Glebe Annex or Dow’s Lake areas. Look for announcements about our Annual General Meeting in March and April issues of the Glebe Report. Both members and non-members are welcome to attend.
